Pokémon GO's New Year continues to delight trainers with exciting additions to their Pokédex. Following the arrival of Fidough, Shroodle is the next Pokémon to join the roster—but obtaining this Toxic Mouse Pokémon isn't as simple as a standard wild encounter.
Shroodle's Pokémon GO Debut
Shroodle, first introduced in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, makes its Pokémon GO debut on January 15, 2025, as part of the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. Post-event, Shroodle will remain available.
Is Shroodle Shiny?
At launch, Shroodle will not have a Shiny variant in Pokémon GO. Expect its Shiny form to appear in a future event, potentially one focused on Poison-types or Team GO Rocket.
Catching Shroodle in Pokémon GO
12KM Eggs collected from 12 AM local time on January 15th onwards have a chance to hatch into Shroodle. Its hatch rate is anticipated to be higher during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event, but it will remain in the 12KM egg pool afterward.
Acquiring 12KM Eggs
Given Shroodle's exclusive 12KM Egg hatching method, a quick reminder on obtaining these rarer eggs is helpful. They are acquired solely by defeating Team GO Rocket Leaders (Sierra, Arlo, Cliff) or Giovanni. The Taken Over event presents an ideal opportunity to stockpile 12KM Eggs due to increased Team GO Rocket activity and readily available Rocket Radars. However, you can battle GO Rocket Grunts at any time to challenge the Leaders and obtain a 12KM Egg (provided you have inventory space).
Obtaining Grafaiai in Pokémon GO
Evolution requires 50 Shroodle Candy. Hatching multiple Shroodle or using one as your buddy Pokémon are the most efficient ways to amass the necessary Candy.
Pokémon GO is currently available.
