Fans of the iconic mecha series, Gundam, have reason to celebrate as the much-anticipated SD Gundam G Generation Eternal, the latest in the strategy JRPG franchise, is far from dead. Contrary to the silence since 2022, the game is gearing up for a network test that will now include participants from the United States, in addition to Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong. With applications open until December 7th, 1500 lucky entrants will have the first opportunity to experience the game from January 23rd to January 28th, 2025.
In the SD Gundam series, players assume the roles of various pilots from the Gundam universe, engaging in grid-based strategic battles. Known for its extensive roster, the series features a vast array of mecha and characters, offering fans a comprehensive Gundam experience.
While the Gundam franchise enjoys global recognition, the SD Gundam line, which stands for "super deformed," may be less familiar to some. These smaller, stylized kits allow enthusiasts to assemble cute, compact versions of iconic mecha that, at their peak, even surpassed the popularity of the original models.

Coming to America
There's no doubt that Gundam enthusiasts will eagerly anticipate the release of SD Gundam G Generation Eternal. However, a common concern among fans is the inconsistent quality of Bandai Namco's Gundam games, with some titles being prematurely discontinued. Here's hoping that SD Gundam G Generation Eternal will stand out as one of the franchise's stronger entries.
