Netflix has unveiled the thrilling trailer for Electric State, the latest sci-fi epic brought to us by Anthony and Joe Russo, the creative forces behind Avengers: Endgame. The trailer introduces viewers to an enthralling narrative led by Millie Bobby Brown, renowned for her role in Stranger Things, as a determined young heroine, alongside Chris Pratt, famous from Guardians of the Galaxy, playing a mysterious drifter.
Set in a bleak future following a devastating technological collapse, Electric State chronicles the harrowing journey of its protagonist as she traverses the American frontier in a quest to find her lost brother. Accompanying her is a charming yellow robot, injecting a lighter note into the story's darker tones. As they navigate this fragmented world, they cross paths with an enigmatic wanderer whose secrets could be crucial in piecing together the puzzles of their dystopian reality. Drawing inspiration from Simon Stålenhag's visionary graphic novels, the film offers a blend of heart and suspense.
The stellar cast also includes Woody Harrelson, known from Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Anthony Mackie of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Ke Huy Quan from Everything Everywhere All at Once, Billy Bob Thornton of Goliath, and Giancarlo Esposito, celebrated for his role in Better Call Saul. With a screenplay penned by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the duo behind Avengers: Infinity War, Electric State is set to enthrall audiences upon its premiere on March 14, 2025.
