Marvel Rivals Season 1: Mastering Recursive Destruction in Midtown
Season 1 of Marvel Rivals introduces new characters, maps, and modes, along with exciting challenges unlocking free rewards, including a Thor skin. This guide focuses on triggering Recursive Destruction in the Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown map.
What is Recursive Destruction?
The "Blood Moon Over the Big Apple" challenge requires triggering Recursive Destruction. This occurs when you destroy a Dracula-influenced object that then reappears in its original form. Not all destructible objects work; you need to identify the correct ones.
Locating Destructible Objects
Use Chrono Vision (keyboard "B" or console right D-pad button) to highlight destructible objects. Only those highlighted in red trigger Recursive Destruction.
Triggering Recursive Destruction in Midtown
This challenge requires playing Quick Match (Midtown) mode. Initially, no red-highlighted objects will be available. Wait for the first checkpoint; two buildings will then appear, highlighted in red, that can trigger Recursive Destruction.
While engaging in combat, take opportunities to destroy these buildings. You might not always see the objects reappear immediately due to the fast-paced gameplay, but multiple hits should complete the challenge. If you don't successfully trigger Recursive Destruction three times, simply replay the match.
Once this challenge is complete, move on to the next challenges featuring Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman.
