During IGN Fan Fest Day 2 2025, Ratatan developer Ratatan Works released an enthralling gameplay trailer that showcases the game's dynamics. The trailer highlights a battle against a colossal boss crab, giving fans an exciting preview of what to expect.
Ratatan blends rhythm roguelike action with side-scrolling gameplay, creating a unique experience. The game supports online co-op for up to 4 players, allowing for thrilling team battles with up to 100 characters.
Ratatan is crafted by the visionary team behind Patapon, led by creator Hiroyuki Kotani and featuring the original Patapon musician Kemmei Adachi. Launched on Kickstarter in 2023, the campaign successfully met its console launch stretch goal, ensuring a release on various gaming platforms.
Closed Beta Begins on February 27, 2025

Ratatan's closed beta is scheduled to kick off on February 27, 2025, as announced on their Kickstarter page. Producer Kazuto Sakajiri shared insights into the game's progress and upcoming milestones.

Ratatan is slated for release in 2025 across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. While an exact release date has yet to be announced, anticipation continues to build for this exciting new title.
