In celebration of its return to China, *World of Warcraft* is introducing two exclusive mounts: the *Blazing Royal Fire Hawk* and the *Golden Ashes of Al’ar*. These majestic creatures are inspired by the legendary *Pureblood Fire Hawk* and *Ashes of Al’ar*, both of which were once rare drops from challenging raids in the game. While the original mounts were exclusive to North America and Europe, these new versions are available exclusively in China starting January 15.
The *Blazing Royal Fire Hawk* showcases traditional Chinese aesthetics with auspicious clouds flowing through its wings, symbolizing prosperity and good fortune. Meanwhile, the *Golden Ashes of Al’ar* pays homage to *Kael’thas Sunstrider* with its regal design and a golden saddle reminiscent of the character’s iconic line: “Death is merely a setback.”
To acquire the *Blazing Royal Fire Hawk*, players must participate in the *Treasure Workshop* event, although details remain scarce. On the other hand, the *Golden Ashes of Al’ar* can be obtained from *Landro’s Loot Box*, priced at ¥200 (~$27). Each box contains one of eight possible rewards, including rare mounts like the *X-51 Nether Rocket X-TREME* and the *Swift Spectral Tiger*. Players who form teams and reach spending milestones can earn additional loot boxes, enhancing their chances of obtaining these coveted items.
While these mounts are exclusive to China for now, fans worldwide can only admire their beauty from afar—unless future updates bring them to other regions. For now, players in China have the unique opportunity to embrace these stunning additions to their WoW experience.
