Pokémon Go is generating fresh excitement with Mega Gyarados Raid Day this Sunday, August 31st. Coming right after the blockbuster Max Finale weekend, trainers can dive back into action with more frequent Mega Gyarados raids. If you’re lucky, you might even encounter a Shiny version. The event runs from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time.
For this Raid Day, Gyarados will know the Charged Attack Aqua Tail, a valuable asset in battle and a great reason to team up with friends. Remote Raid Pass limits will be raised to 20 from August 30th through the 31st.
Additionally, spinning Gym Photo Discs can yield up to five extra free Raid Passes, giving you a total of six for the event. Your chances of finding a Shiny Gyarados are also increased, offering a perfect opportunity to catch this gleaming Water-type.

For an enhanced experience, a $4.99 event ticket provides eight additional Raid Passes from Gym spins, boosts the chance of Rare Candy XL for trainers level 31 and above, increases raid XP by 50%, and doubles Stardust rewards—all active during the three-hour event.
Not stopping there, the Pokémon Go Web Store offers a Mega Gyarados Raid Day Ultra Ticket box for $4.99 (or local equivalent). It bundles the event ticket with a complimentary Premium Battle Pass. Prefer a free route? You can always redeem active Pokémon Go codes for free items.
This Raid Day follows just ten days after the Origin Forme Dialga and Palkia event, keeping the momentum going with consecutive chances to strengthen your roster.
