Pokémon Sleep Development Transitioned to Pokémon Works
The Pokémon Company's subsidiary, Pokémon Works, will assume responsibility for the development and future updates of Pokémon Sleep. This marks a shift from the previous developer, Select Button.
From Select Button to Pokémon Works

Initially, both Select Button and The Pokémon Company collaborated on Pokémon Sleep. However, a recent in-app announcement (via machine translation) revealed the gradual transition of development and operation from Select Button to Pokémon Works. This announcement appeared in the Japanese version of the app; global app users haven't yet seen this news in their News section.

Pokémon Works, established in March 2024, is a new subsidiary formed from The Pokémon Company and Iruka Co., Ltd. Its representative director, Takuya Iwasaki, stated the company aims to make Pokémon experiences more realistic and accessible. The company's past contributions include work on Pokémon HOME. Their shared location in Shinjuku, Tokyo, with ILCA (developers of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and co-developers of Pokémon HOME) suggests a strong connection within the Pokémon development ecosystem.
While the specific plans for Pokémon Sleep's future under Pokémon Works remain undisclosed, the company's stated vision promises an enhanced and more engaging experience for players.
