Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Dates, Locations, and More!
Niantic has unveiled the exciting details for Pokémon GO Fest 2025, a three-day extravaganza hitting three global cities. This follows the January 6th, 2025 announcement. Get ready for:
- Osaka, Japan: May 29th - June 1st
- Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6th - June 8th
- Paris, France: June 13th - June 15th

A Global Pokémon GO Celebration
Pokémon GO Fest is an annual event offering exclusive in-game items, gameplay enhancements, and bonuses. In-person events, requiring ticket purchases, feature unique city-specific activities and experiences. Both in-person and in-game participation require ticket purchase.
Expect rare Pokémon encounters impossible to find through standard gameplay—think along the lines of Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma, and Marshadow from 2024. Shiny Pokémon will also have increased appearance rates, varying by location to reflect their natural habitats.
In-person attendees can look forward to exclusive merchandise, habitat-themed collections, community hubs, and team lounges for socializing with fellow trainers. While details are still emerging, expect a similar format to previous years' events.
January's Pokémon GO Events: Fashion Week and Shadow Raid Day
Beyond Pokémon GO Fest, Niantic announced two January events:

Fashion Week: Taken Over: January 15th (12:00 pm) - January 19th (8:00 pm) local time. Rescue Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni. Shroodle and Grafaiai debut, hatching from 12 km Eggs. Other Shadow Pokémon appear (Snivy, Tepig, etc.), and a fashionably dressed Croagunk might surprise you during snapshots.

Shadow Raid Day (Ho-Oh): January 19th (2:00 pm - 5:00 pm) local time. Five-Star Shadow Raids offer a chance to catch Shadow Ho-Oh. A $5 USD ticket grants eight extra Raid Passes, increased Rare Candy XL odds, 2x Stardust, and 50% more XP from Raids. Shiny Ho-Oh has increased odds, and lucky trainers can teach it Sacred Fire via Charged TM.
