Pokémon GO Unveils New Tour Pass for Upcoming Unova Event
Get ready, Pokémon GO trainers! A new Tour Pass is launching alongside the highly anticipated Unova-themed event, running from February 24th to March 9th. This pass offers exciting rewards and progression milestones for all players.
This year's Pokémon GO Tour focuses on the Unova region, bringing Gen 5 Pokémon into the spotlight with special wild encounters, raids, and egg hatches. Following the tradition of previous Pokémon GO Tours (Kanto in 2021 and Sinnoh in 2022), this event promises a wealth of Gen 5 content.
The new Tour Pass, available from February 24th, 10 AM to March 2nd, 6 PM local time, allows players to earn Tour Points by completing various in-game tasks. These include catching Pokémon, participating in raids, and hatching eggs. Accumulating Tour Points unlocks Minor and Major milestones, rewarding players with in-game items like Candy and Stickers. Reaching the final milestone grants an encounter with a special Zorua. Remember, all rewards expire on March 9th at 6 PM, so claim them promptly!
Free and Deluxe Pass Options:
A free Tour Pass is available to all players. For a more enhanced experience, a Deluxe Pass is available for $14.99 (or $19.99 for a version with 10 pre-unlocked ranks) on the Pokémon GO Webstore during the same timeframe (February 24th, 10 AM to March 2nd, 6 PM).
The Deluxe Pass unlocks all rewards from both the free and paid tracks, includes an encounter with the Mythical Pokémon Victini, and introduces the new Lucky Trinket. This unique item guarantees a Lucky Trade with a chosen friend, resetting their Lucky Friend status afterward. Like the free pass rewards, the Deluxe Pass benefits and Lucky Trinket expire on March 9th at 6 PM.
Event Highlights:
The Unova GO Tour promises an unforgettable experience. Key highlights include the debut of Kyurem (both Black and White forms) via fusion, mirroring last year's Necrozma fusion event.
