S-Tier Decks
Gyarados Ex/Greninja Combo: This deck utilizes a synergistic approach. Druddigon (x2), with its 100 HP and chip damage, acts as a sturdy defender. Simultaneously, Greninja (x2) inflicts further chip damage, serving as a secondary attacker. Finally, Gyarados Ex (x2) delivers the knockout blow once the opponent's Pokémon are weakened. Supporting cards include Froakie (x2), Frogadier (x2), Magikarp (x2), Misty (x2), Leaf (x2), Professor’s Research (x2), and Poké Ball (x2).
Pikachu Ex: Currently the top deck, Pikachu Ex (x2) delivers consistent 90 damage with just two Energy. Its aggressive and fast-paced strategy makes it highly effective. The deck includes Zapdos Ex (x2), Blitzle (x2), Zebstrika (x2), Poké Ball (x2), Potion (x2), X Speed (x2), Professor’s Research (x2), Sabrina (x2), and Giovanni (x2). Optional additions like Voltorb and Electrode provide further attack options and strategic retreat capabilities.
Raichu Surge: While slightly less consistent than the pure Pikachu Ex deck, Raichu and Lt. Surge offer powerful surprise attacks. Pikachu Ex (x2), Pikachu (x2), Raichu (x2), Zapdos Ex (x2), Potion (x2), X Speed (x2), Poké Ball (x2), Professor’s Research (x2), Sabrina (x2), and Lt. Surge (x2) form the core of this deck. The Energy discard drawback of Raichu is mitigated by Lt. Surge's ability.
A-Tier Decks
Celebi Ex and Serperior Combo: The Mythical Island expansion boosted Grass-type decks, with Celebi Ex and Serperior leading the charge. Serperior's Jungle Totem ability doubles Grass Pokémon Energy, amplified by Celebi Ex's coin flip mechanic for high damage potential. Tauros serves as a strong finisher against Ex decks. Effective against Mewtwo Ex decks.
Mewtwo Ex/Gardevoir Combo: Mewtwo Ex (x2) is the primary attacker, supported by Gardevoir. The deck aims for quick evolution of Ralts and Kirlia into Gardevoir to maximize Mewtwo Ex's Psydrive attack. Jynx provides stalling or early-game attacks.
