Pikmin Bloom is set to celebrate its 3.5th anniversary next month, and Niantic is pulling out all the stops with a nostalgic event starting May 1st, 2025. Get ready to dive into a celebration that brings back the classic vibes of the good old Nintendo days!
The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!
Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has delighted us with various fun decor options, including Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. For its 3.5th anniversary, the game is introducing a throwback to the iconic Nintendo game consoles from the 80s and 90s. Additionally, players can look forward to the Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin, which pays homage to Nintendo's origins in the playing card industry before their foray into video games. These cards are inspired by Nintendo's vintage playing card decks.
The event will run from May 1st to May 31st, 2025, offering a full month to engage in missions and collect unique new Pikmin. Completing Event Challenge missions will reward you with random items such as Game Button Cells, seedlings that can grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.
During the event, Brilliant Mushrooms will appear, and smashing them can yield Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other goodies. The Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 and Playing Card Decor Pikmin are particularly effective at taking down these mushrooms.
Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May
May will see the blooming of big flowers such as carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or anniversary roses, depending on whether you plant red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them.
There's also a nectar update for May; fruit from mushrooms will now provide nectar for both regular and special flowers, including carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.
Alongside these updates, the 3.5th anniversary will feature other exciting events like Community Day. Make sure to download Pikmin Bloom from the Google Play Store and get ready for a month full of nostalgia and new adventures.
