People Can Fly, known for developing Bulletstorm and co-developing Gears of War: E-Day, has recently inked a deal with Sony Interactive Entertainment to work on a new game titled Project Delta. According to a report from People Can Fly, Project Delta is designated as a work-for-hire project, though specifics about the game remain under wraps.
The studio is currently juggling multiple projects, each with its own codename. Alongside Project Delta, they're working on Project Gemini with Square Enix, which unfortunately saw a reduction of 30 developers last year. They're also collaborating on Project Echo with Krafton, and Project Red, which appears to be another project with Sony. Additionally, People Can Fly recently announced that Project Bison, their VR endeavor, would be their last foray into virtual reality.
Recent months have seen shifts in their project lineup. In December, they paused work on Project Victoria and scaled back on Project Bifrost. Earlier in April, they cancelled Project Dagger, an action-adventure game planned with Take-Two Interactive.
Despite these adjustments, People Can Fly remains busy with a total of eight known projects in development. This includes the highly anticipated Gears of War: E-Day, developed in partnership with The Coalition, though a release date for this title has yet to be announced. Meanwhile, Project Gemini, their collaboration with Square Enix, is slated for a 2026 release.
