Orna: The GPS RPG is set to embark on another grand event titled "Natureblight," launching on May 30th, 2025, and concluding on June 14th. This marks the continuation of Terra's Legacy and presents players with yet another environmental challenge to overcome.
Natureblight introduces a new threat known as the Great Murk in Orna: The GPS RPG. Northern Forge Studios is emphasizing environmental concerns, much like in their earlier updates. For this event, the studio collaborates once again with the Playing for the Planet Alliance during the Green Game Jam. Familiar with Orna's unique blend of fantasy and real-world location data? This chapter takes players to seven real-world locations grappling with significant environmental challenges.
Throughout the event, players will journey across Orna’s world to explore versions of these locations. Each destination features a new animal guardian representing the local ecosystem. These include meeting the Beaver in Prince Edward County, Canada, diving into the Coral Reefs of Oceania, following the Mountain Gorilla in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, and encountering the Bone Mammoth in Dunkerque, France. Other guardians include the Giant Tortoise in Ecuador’s Galapagos Islands, the Giant Panda in Chengdu, China, and the Macaroni Penguin in the Antarctic Peninsula. Players can form bonds with these Animal Guardians and retain them as companions post-event.
The Great Murk, a devastating force, has returned, spreading destruction akin to the alien Terran civilization’s environmental collapse. Deforestation, pollution, and extinction are among the issues players will confront. To align with the theme, the Natureblight Pack is available in Orna: The GPS RPG via PlanetPlay, offering origin town cosmetics, character sprites, and consumable boosters.
