Following today's Nintendo Direct for the Switch 2, Nintendo has officially announced the console’s price: $449.99.
Set to launch on June 5, 2025, the Nintendo Switch 2 was fully unveiled today, with pre-orders beginning on April 9.
“Nintendo Switch 2 represents the next evolution in home gaming that you can take anywhere, building on eight years of play and exploration that started with the original Nintendo Switch,” said Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa.
“Featuring new capabilities that broaden the potential of gaming experiences, I am confident the Nintendo Switch 2 marks a significant step forward in our mission to bring joy to everyone Nintendo reaches.”
What's Included with Nintendo Switch 2:
Nintendo Switch 2 Console
Joy-Con 2 Controllers (Left and Right)
Joy-Con 2 Grip
Joy-Con 2 Straps
Nintendo Switch 2 Dock
Ultra High-Speed HDMI Cable
Nintendo Switch 2 AC Adapter

The Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle has a suggested retail price of $499.99 in the United States, featuring the console and a download code for Mario Kart World, available starting June 5. Purchasing the standalone Mario Kart World game costs $79.99, meaning the bundle saves you $30 on the game.
While curiosity about the cost of a new console is typical, the Nintendo Switch 2 has been the subject of particular speculation due to the unique economic conditions at launch. As industry experts noted back in January, factors like supply chain limitations and tariff uncertainties may have influenced Nintendo’s pricing strategy. Analysts, however, also indicate that Nintendo is likely to see strong console sales at launch regardless of the price point.
