NieR: Automata's resource scarcity varies greatly. While some materials are plentiful, upgrading numerous weapons demands a substantial supply, even of common resources. Dented Plates, a frequently needed material, are readily farmable.
Efficient Dented Plate Farming Locations in NieR: Automata
Dented Plates are commonly dropped by:
- Small Biped (all variants)
- Small Flyer (all variants)
- Small Sphere (all variants)
These basic enemies are prevalent throughout the game. However, relying solely on respawning enemies via fast travel isn't the most efficient method.
The Optimal Farming Spot: Adam's Pit
The most effective location is the pit where you first encounter Adam in the main storyline.
Fast travel to the Desert: Housing Complex access point. Proceed deeper into the ruins and descend to the pit. Here, machines constantly respawn, with numerous Small Bipeds being the most common. Their level may be lower depending on your game progress, but their Dented Plate drop rate remains decent. This area is also ideal for Titanium Alloy farming.
Alternative Farming Locations: Forest Kingdom
The Forest Kingdom offers another option. Groups of spear-wielding Bipeds frequently appear, usually dropping at least one Dented Plate per group. This area also provides opportunities to gather Beast Hide. Higher-level Bipeds yield a greater chance of dropping Dented Plates, so progressing the story increases your chances of encountering them.
Maximize Your Yield: Drop Rate Plug-in Chips
Equip drop-rate enhancing plug-in chips to boost your Dented Plate acquisition. Remember to avoid death to prevent permanent chip loss.
