Weapon damage in NieR: Automata varies with each swing. Upgrading reduces this variance and boosts potential damage.
The Iron Pipe boasts the game's widest damage range but also offers exceptionally high potential damage. Its unpredictable nature makes it a gamble, but definitely worth acquiring. Here's how:
How To Get the Iron Pipe in NieR: Automata
The Iron Pipe is a rare fishing reward found in sewers. Both sewer locations offer the same drop rate; the first is easiest to access.
Fast travel to the Resistance Camp. Head right towards the Amusement Park, jump the small gap, and descend the open manhole under the highway.
Fish in the sewer water. Other junk items can be sold. There's no guaranteed method; it might take seconds or minutes. Use your Pod's light to improve visibility underwater.
A second sewer is accessible en route to the Flooded City.
