During the ID@Xbox Showcase event, fans were treated to an exciting new trailer for Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, the much-anticipated sequel to the beloved original. The developers confirmed that the game will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one, with a launch planned before the end of the year.
Digital Sun, in collaboration with publisher 11 bit studios, is bringing back the isometric action-adventure RPG with roguelike elements that fans loved. In Moonlighter 2, players will once again take on the role of a shopkeeper, striving to transform their modest store into a thriving business. To do so, they must brave dangerous dungeons to gather rare artifacts and face off against formidable foes.
Building on the original game's success, Moonlighter 2 promises a richer story and improved gameplay mechanics. The narrative follows protagonist Will as he searches for his home dimension within the vast world of Trense. Along his journey, Will reconnects with old allies and forges new friendships. His quest leads him to a mysterious trader who enlists his help in finding powerful relics that could guide him back to his native dimension.
The game's soundtrack is being composed by the renowned Chris Larkin, famous for his work on Hollow Knight. Fans can look forward to experiencing Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault later this year on PC (Steam), Xbox Series, and PS5.
