In the dynamic world of Monster Hunter Now, Niantic is introducing an exciting new feature called Monster Outbreaks. Currently in the testing phase, this feature aims to gather player feedback and refine the experience before its official release. This is your chance to dive in, provide your insights, and help shape this thrilling addition to the game.
When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?
The Monster Outbreaks testing will take place from April 26th to 27th, spanning a couple of hours each day. The event will occur twice daily on both Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and again from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m., local time.
During the event, specific outbreak points on the map will be overrun with 8-star Black Diablos. The challenge? Team up with other players and take down a total of 100 Black Diablos at each outbreak location within the one-hour window. Note that this count is per location, not a global total!
To participate, you must be at least HR 11. Keep in mind that the party feature won't be available; only in-person group hunts will count towards the goal.
Outbreak points are clearly marked on the map with a unique icon. By tapping on these icons, you can access detailed information about the event. Additionally, a sign-up roster at each outbreak point allows you to coordinate with others and plan your hunt.
Black Diablos Is Rolling Up with Serious Boss Energy, in Swarm Mode!
The mechanics of the slay count are intriguing. If you hunt with three other players and take down one monster, it counts as four towards the 100-monster goal. If your group successfully reaches the 100-mark before the time expires, you can continue hunting Black Diablos for the remainder of the hour.
Successfully achieving the 100-monster goal comes with rewarding loot. Your team will receive 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Plus, if you sign up using the roster, you're eligible for a special Outbreak Test I Medal.
