Capcom recently unveiled a wealth of exciting details about the upcoming content for *Monster Hunter Wilds* during its latest showcase. The much-anticipated Title Update 1 is set to launch on April 4, 2025, and will be available as a free update to all players. A New Hub For Hunters
The showcase kicked off with an introduction to the new endgame hub, the Grand Hub. This expansive area offers numerous activities for hunting parties, including feasting, arm wrestling, and enjoying nightly performances by the Diva. A fun addition is the Barrel Bowling mini-game, where players can earn vouchers and rewards. Unlock the Grand Hub by reaching Hunter Rank 16 and speaking with Tetsuzan in Suja, the Peaks of Accord.
Mizutsune Arrives
A highlight of Title Update 1 is the arrival of the bubbly Mizutsune. This monster brings swift tail strikes and powerful water jets to the battlefield, challenging hunters to step up their game. Once you achieve HR 21 or above, head to the Scarlet Forest and speak with Kanya to start the quest, with new gear awaiting those who triumph.
Additional Hunts on the Way
An exciting new Event Quest will introduce Arch-tempered Rey Dau, a tougher variant of the usual Tempered fights, requiring HR 50 or above to challenge. Additionally, Zoh Shia, previously a one-time story fight, will now be available for repeated encounters through new quests, also accessible at HR 50, with new armor to craft.
Arena Quests
Speedrunners will find their niche with the introduction of Arena Quests, where they can compete for the fastest clear times. Both Challenge Quests and Free Challenge Quests are available, with pendants awarded for participation and achievements. Access these quests via the counter in the new Grand Hub.
Change Alma's Outfit
The hardworking handler Alma is getting a fashion upgrade. Players can now customize her attire through an appearance menu in camp, with one new outfit available for free. Completing a specific side mission also allows you to change Alma's glasses.
More DLC is on the Way
Title Update 1 will coincide with the release of both free and paid DLCs. Free additions include classic gestures from previous Monster Hunter games, while the Cosmetic DLC Pack 1, available in the store or through the Cosmetic DLC Pass or Premium Deluxe Edition, offers new stickers and looks for Alma.
More Event Quests and Seasonal Events
Expect a slew of new Event Quests and Seasonal Events, such as the Festival of Accord: Blossomdance starting on April 23. This event will transform the Grand Hub with pink cherry blossoms and introduce new decor, limited equipment, gestures, and decorations. Capcom has also confirmed the return of most previously available events and quests.
The Roadmap Ahead
The rollout of Title Update 1 and its related content is scheduled as follows: Title Update 1 on April 3 for U.S. players, Blossomdance on April 22, the challenging Arch-tempered Rey Dau on April 29, and additional features and a Capcom collaboration by the end of May.
Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2
The showcase concluded with a glimpse into Title Update 2, slated for this summer. While an exact date remains undisclosed, a teaser image hinted at the return of the iconic Lagiacrus, the underwater leviathan, poised to bring chaos to the surface.
