These cards aren't just for show; they're scannable in the arcade machine to choose specific champions before a match. With two series released, over 175 cards exist, including standard and rarer foil versions. This guide covers everything you need to know about MCoC Champion Cards, whether you're aiming to enhance your gameplay or complete your collection.
Understanding Champion Cards
MCoC Champion Cards are physical trading cards dispensed by MCoC arcade machines at Dave & Buster's. Each card represents a game character and is used to select champions during arcade gameplay. Without scanned cards, the machine randomly assigns champions.
Each card showcases a Marvel character from MCoC and has a foil variant, echoing collectible arcade cards from games like Mario Kart Arcade GP and Injustice Arcade. Series 1 introduced 75 champions, while Series 2 added another 100, including some reskins of Series 1 characters.
A Champion Card is dispensed to each player after every match, win or lose. The card received is random, ensuring equal chances for all players. Cards belong to one of two series (Series 1: 75 champions; Series 2: 100 champions), each with rarer foil variants.
While not mandatory for arcade play, Champion Cards add strategic depth and personalization. Instead of random champion selection, players can strategically choose their favorites. Note: These cards don't transfer to the mobile MCoC game, but they enhance the arcade experience with a collectible element. For mobile MCoC improvement tips, check out our beginner's guide!
Champion Card Rarity and Collectibility
Like traditional trading cards, MCoC Champion Cards are highly collectible. While all cards function identically in-game, many players aim to complete sets, including the rarer foil cards. Series 2 introduced new designs alongside some Series 1 characters, resulting in multiple versions of certain cards.
Available Cards:
- Series 1 (2019): 75 classic MCoC characters.
- Series 2 (later release): 100 cards, including reskins and new characters.
- Foil Variants: Rarer, more valuable versions of standard cards.
Players may focus on completing the full set, acquiring their favorite Marvel characters, or solely collecting foil cards. Their Dave & Buster's exclusivity adds to their appeal for Marvel enthusiasts.
