LEGO has unveiled an exciting lineup of nine new Star Wars sets, all set to launch on May 1, 2025, as part of Disney's extensive celebration of May the 4th—Star Wars Day. LEGO traditionally honors this occasion with a new Ultimate Collector Series Starship. Following the releases of Luke's X-Wing Starfighter in 2023 and the TIE Interceptor in 2024, this year's highlight is Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, famously known as Slave I among long-time fans. The name change to Firespray Starship, which occurred in 2021 at Disney's request and was confirmed by LEGO, reflects Disney's efforts to distance the brand from any association with 'slave' imagery. This change appears to be permanent.

This year's rendition of Jango Fett's Starship marks a significant upgrade from the last large-scale model released in 2019, which had 1007 pieces and was based on the ship from "Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back." The new 2025 version boasts 2970 pieces and reflects the ship's appearance in "Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones." It's nearly three times larger than its predecessor, with dimensions measuring 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
