Lara Croft, the iconic Tomb Raider, is raiding her way into Naraka: Bladepoint! The fast-paced battle royale game recently unveiled plans for its third-anniversary celebration in August, including a thrilling collaboration with the legendary Tomb Raider franchise. This exciting crossover was showcased in a recent livestream, alongside other upcoming features like the brand-new map, Perdoria.
Since her 1996 debut, Lara Croft has become a video game icon, starring in countless spin-offs, from comics to an upcoming Netflix animated series. Her dual-wielding prowess and adventurous spirit have made her a globally recognized and beloved character, leading to crossovers with major titles such as Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, Fortnite, and Final Fantasy XV.
Now, this intrepid explorer joins the fray in Naraka: Bladepoint's thrilling 60-player melee combat. Lara's likeness will adorn Matari, the agile Silver Crow assassin, as a new skin. While a preview remains elusive, past collaborations suggest the skin will include a complete outfit, unique hairstyle, and additional accessories.
2024: A Monumental Year for Naraka: Bladepoint
The third anniversary promises to be massive. Besides the Tomb Raider event, players can anticipate the arrival of Perdoria, the first new map in almost two years, launching July 2nd. Like Holoroth, Perdoria will boast unique challenges, secrets, and gameplay mechanics. Further collaborations are also in the works, including a partnership with CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, slated for later this year.
However, alongside the excitement, Naraka: Bladepoint announced the discontinuation of Xbox One support by the end of August. Players can rest assured that all progress and acquired cosmetics will remain linked to their Xbox accounts, ensuring a seamless transition to Xbox Series X/S or PC via the Xbox platform.
