Dead by Daylight's Terrifying Junji Ito Collection: Eight New Skins Unveiled
The asymmetrical horror multiplayer game, Dead by Daylight (DbD), is thrilled to announce a chilling collaboration with legendary Japanese horror manga artist, Junji Ito. This partnership brings eight terrifying new character skins inspired by Ito's iconic works to the game, creating the ultimate horror experience.
A Collection of Nightmares
For 40 years, Junji Ito has captivated audiences worldwide with his unique, macabre storytelling and surrealist art style. Now, his chilling creations are brought to life in DbD. The collection features skins inspired by several of his most famous works, including "Tomie," "Hanging Balloons," and "Rumors."
The collection includes skins for both Killers and Survivors. Killers receiving new skins are The Dredge, The Trickster, The Twins, The Spirit, and The Artist. The Spirit and The Artist will boast Legendary rarity skins, complete with unique audio and sound effects. Specifically, The Spirit gets a Tomie skin, while The Artist transforms into Miss Fuchi from "Rumors." Survivors Yui Kimura, Yun-Jin Lee, and Kate Denson also receive new Ito-inspired outfits.
Junji Ito himself was deeply involved in the process, expressing his delight at seeing his characters realized in the game. In a video shared on the official Dead by Daylight X (formerly Twitter) account, Ito reacted to the in-game skins, commenting on how they had become even more terrifying within the DbD universe. He even participated in a gameplay session, playing as The Artist with her Miss Fuchi skin.
The Junji Ito Collection will be available starting January 7th, 2025, on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Prepare for a truly unforgettable horror experience!
