The iPhone 16e replaces the iPhone SE (last updated in 2022), offering a closer size and spec comparison to the standard iPhone 16 than its predecessor. While pricier than the SE ($429), its $599 starting price undercuts the standard iPhone 16 ($799) and even the iPhone 15 ($699).

The iPhone 16e boasts a 6.1-inch OLED display with a notch (instead of the iPhone 16's Dynamic Island). It features the same A18 chip as the standard iPhone 16, but with a 4-core GPU (one less core). Despite this, it supports Apple Intelligence for all iOS 18 AI features. The new C1 cellular modem promises improved battery life—up to 26 hours of video playback (compared to 22 on the iPhone 16).
However, it lacks MagSafe integration (no magnetic charging), though Qi wireless charging is supported. Color options are limited to black and white.
