What's New in Season 4?
This season introduces a frigid tundra habitat teeming with challenges. New monsters making their debut include Lagombi, Volvidon, Somnacanth, and the formidable Tigrex. Returning favorites like Barioth, Wulg, and Cortos also appear. Tigrex will feature prominently in Hunt-a-thons and may even surprise you in the wild. Unlock these powerful creatures by completing urgent quests throughout Season 4's story chapters. Access to the tundra unlocks after completing the prologue.
A powerful new weapon joins the arsenal: the Switch Axe! This versatile weapon seamlessly transitions between Axe Mode for powerful, sweeping attacks and Sword Mode for frenzied close-quarters combat. Unlock the Switch Gauge by finishing Chapter 2 of the pre-season story.
Season 4 also introduces customizable Palico companions! These helpful allies assist in gathering materials and scouting monsters. Personalize your Palico's fur color, facial features, and name, then use AR to capture memorable photos with your unique companion in the real world.
Adding a social element, Friend Cheering allows you to boost your friends' health for a limited time. While helpful, there's a daily limit on the amount of health you can gain from cheers.
