After weeks of players seeking clarity, the development team behind Infinity Nikki has finally addressed the community's concerns. The rocky rollout of Version 1.5 left many feeling that the update was prematurely launched. The team has now openly admitted that they weren't fully prepared for the release. As a result, they've decided to delay Version 1.6.
When Is the Update Releasing?
Version 1.5 was released on April 28th, with Version 1.6 originally slated for June 4th. However, the release date has been officially postponed to June 12th. In the interim, the ongoing Bubble Season will be extended, keeping events like Chase the Bubbles, Rainbow Album, and Where Are the Gifties? active until the new release date. Stores such as Pear-Pal Selected/Store: Clothing, Heartfelt Gifts, and the Shake Up Bubble Jar! top-up event will also remain open until then. Weekly tasks, including Starlit Pursuit, which was initially scheduled for May 20th, will now be part of Version 1.6.
The developers have issued an apology, citing challenges with performance across various platforms, including PlayStation. They are currently refining gameplay systems and have assured players that missing storylines like Threads of Reunion have not been abandoned, just delayed.
Apart from the Version 1.6 Delays, What’s Up with Infinity Nikki?
Recently, the game has been plagued by bugs, broken quests, and co-op malfunctions. In an effort to mitigate the situation, the developers are offering compensation in the form of 120 Diamonds and 1 Crystal per day from June 5th to June 12th. Players must log in daily to claim these rewards.
Some community members view this as a last-ditch effort to improve engagement metrics following their missteps. Additionally, players expressed disappointment over the swift transition from the apology to promotional banners for new outfits.
