Infinity Nikki has encountered significant issues with the release of version 1.5, prompting developer Infold Games to offer compensation to affected players. Below, we delve into the details of the compensation, the problems faced, and the developer's future plans.
Infinity Nikki Version 1.5 Updates
Free Diamonds as Compensation
The much-anticipated version 1.5 of Infinity Nikki brought with it a host of technical issues and unfulfilled promises from developer Infold Games. In response to the community's dissatisfaction, Infold Games issued a statement on Twitter (X) on May 18, acknowledging the "unstable game environment and unsatisfactory content" and offering compensation.
The update introduced numerous bugs across various platforms, making the game unplayable for some users. Additionally, the cost of 5-star outfits was increased from 9 or 10 pieces to 11, necessitating up to 220 pulls to complete an outfit, significantly raising the time and resources needed.
A new dye system was also introduced, which many players found cumbersome and confusing, requiring the unlocking of color palettes for each clothing item. The storyline "Threads of Reunion" was removed due to ongoing development of its associated outfit. Infold Games apologized for the confusion caused by the incomplete introduction of the Sea of Stars chapter and the narrative setup.
As a gesture of goodwill, Infold Games announced that all players would receive 120 Diamonds and 1 Energy Crystal daily from June 5 to June 12, totaling 960 Diamonds and 8 Energy Crystals. Despite this, the studio has not yet outlined specific plans to address the underlying issues, leaving fans vocal about their concerns regarding the pity system, dye mechanics, and other bugs.
Delayed Version 1.6
Due to the problematic launch of version 1.5, Infold Games has decided to extend its duration to better resolve the issues. Consequently, version 1.6 has been delayed until June 12, 2025, impacting the schedule of in-game events.
The new weekly task, Starlit Pursuit, initially set for May 20, will now launch with version 1.6. Infold Games stated, "This delay allows us to refine task mechanics for a smoother experience. Additional details will be announced at a later date—please stay tuned." Players will receive 360 Starlit Crystals as compensation for this delay.
More Unlisted Adjustments On The Way
Infold Games is actively working on further adjustments to address the myriad issues introduced in version 1.5. "There are also unlisted adjustments under discussion. Some changes require extended development cycles, but we commit to implementing them through phased updates," Infold explained.
To enhance communication with the community, the developers are launching the Miraland Round Table initiative, allowing players to directly share their concerns and feedback. Players can participate by emailing the game's official account with "Table Advisor" in the subject line or through the in-game Customer Service option.
Infold Games expressed "guilt over delayed promises, yet gratitude for your unwavering support." They are committed to improving the game to "shine brighter than ever."
