Exciting developments are on the horizon for Disneyland Paris as new details and images for the upcoming Lion King-themed ride have been unveiled. Set to break ground in the Fall of 2025, this ride is poised to be a centerpiece of the transformed Walt Disney Studios Park, soon to be known as Disney Adventure World. The Lion King land promises to immerse guests in the iconic moments of the 1994 classic, featuring a thrilling water ride that includes a dramatic 52-foot drop, just two inches taller than Tiana's Bayou Adventure.
The land will boast a towering 120-foot-high Pride Rock and will be packed with dining options, shopping experiences, character meet-and-greets, and more. A new concept image released by Disney showcases Audio-Animatronics of young Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa enjoying a meal in a lush jungle environment, hinting at the detailed scenes guests can expect to encounter.
Scheduled to open after the World of Frozen in 2026, this Lion King attraction will contribute to the expansion of Disney Adventure World, which will double the current park's size. Alongside this, guests can anticipate the Raiponce Tangled Spin ride, featuring Mandy Moore reprising her role as Rapunzel, and the first-ever attraction themed to Up, designed as a spinning carousel offering breathtaking views of the park's landscapes.
Another highlight of Disney Adventure World is the World Premiere, set to open on May 15, 2025. This new park entrance will evoke the glamour of a Hollywood premiere, while the adjacent World Premiere Plaza, inspired by Broadway and London's West End, will host a variety of theatrical performances including TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure, Mickey and the Magician, and Frozen: A Musical Invitation.
