Hearthstone's upcoming Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set, launching January 21st, boasts a record-breaking 49 new cards. This expansion, a crossover with Blizzard's StarCraft universe, introduces class and multi-class cards themed around the Zerg, Protoss, and Terran factions.
The Mini-Set features three cards per Hearthstone class, with each StarCraft faction represented by five cards playable by specific classes, including one Legendary card per faction. A single neutral Legendary card, Grunty, completes the set. Card reveals will continue throughout the week leading up to the launch.
Faction Breakdown:
- Zerg: Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Hunter, and Warlock gain Zerg-themed cards focused on summoning Zerglings and utilizing Hydralisks for swarm-based damage.
- Protoss: Druid, Mage, Priest, and Rogue receive Protoss cards centered around mana manipulation and powerful card plays.
- Terran: Paladin, Shaman, and Warrior classes receive cards incorporating the Starship mechanic from The Great Dark Beyond, featuring new Starship Pieces and strategies.
Pricing and Availability:
A complete Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set costs $20 (or 2500 gold), a $5 increase over previous Mini-Sets. The all-Golden version is priced at $80 (or 12,000 gold). Alternatively, individual faction packs (Protoss, Terran, or Zerg) are available for $10 (or 1200 gold). Cards can also be obtained through The Great Dark Beyond card packs.
