Hearthstone's Year of the Raptor: A 2025 Roadmap of Surprises
Get ready for a thrilling year in Hearthstone! 2025 promises a wave of exciting updates, fresh gameplay mechanics, and brand-new features. Expect the usual trio of expansions, Mini-Sets, and Battlegrounds seasons, all launching soon.
The overwhelmingly positive reception to the Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set has clearly energized Blizzard, fueling their commitment to ongoing fun throughout the year. They've even unveiled a roadmap offering a glimpse into the game's near future.
What's in Store for the Year of the Raptor?
A major highlight is the long-awaited Arena revamp. In development since last year, this significant update is poised to attract a new generation of players to this classic Hearthstone mode.
Cosmetics are also receiving a major overhaul. New Mythic skins and Signature cards are on the way, alongside a completely novel addition: Pets! These adorable companions will be integrated into a new cosmetic acquisition system, although specific details remain under wraps for now.
The Year of the Raptor officially commences with the first expansion, "Into the Emerald Dream." Card reveals begin next week, but in-game celebrations are already underway. Complete the Event Track to earn rewards including The Great Dark Beyond Epic cards, packs from the new expansion, and a Raptor Herald card.
