HBO's acclaimed The Last of Us series is poised for a four-season run, according to an executive.
Francesca Orsi, an HBO executive, hinted at a four-season arc for the popular adaptation, clarifying that while no formal plan exists, a four-season trajectory is anticipated. "It's looking like this season and then two more seasons after this, and we're done," Orsi told Deadline.
Regarding the anticipated April 2025 Season 2 premiere, Orsi teased the introduction of compelling factions vying for survival. She highlighted their unique visual presentation, emphasizing distinctive wardrobe and makeup choices that set them apart.
"There's a certain way [the show] is presenting them in wardrobe and makeup that feels really different than the average person," she stated.

Catch up on Season 1 before Season 2 premieres in April. Unlike Season 1's comprehensive coverage of the first game, Season 2 will span The Last of Us Part II over multiple episodes, utilizing a "natural breakpoint" after seven episodes.
Season 2 will introduce several new characters, including Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Danny Ramirez as Manny, and Tati Gabrielle as Mel. Catherine O'Hara's role remains shrouded in mystery.
