Hades 2 is set to launch on both the Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, serving as a timed console exclusive. Although a specific release date hasn't been announced, developer Supergiant has confirmed that the eagerly awaited sequel will hit PC and the Nintendo Switch 2, alongside the original Switch, simultaneously later this year.
The announcement that Hades 2 would be coming to the enhanced Nintendo Switch 2 was first teased during last week's Nintendo Direct. Supergiant Games has since clarified that the game will not only be available on both Switch versions but will also be exclusive to Nintendo's consoles for a limited time.
"Hades II v1.0 will launch simultaneously on our Early Access platforms (Steam and Epic Games Store), Nintendo Switch 2, and the original Nintendo Switch," the team shared via a recent post on X/Twitter.

Details regarding when Hades 2 will expand to other consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S remain undisclosed.
Hades 2 continues the legacy of Supergiant's acclaimed original, blending captivating narrative with roguelite action in an immersive dungeon-crawling adventure. In IGN's Hades 2 early-access review, we praised the game, awarding it a 9/10: "Hades 2 feels impossibly huge and unbelievably polished by any standard, much less an early access game. Mel is awesome, the new tweaks to the combat and progression are excellent, and it's just unbelievably feature packed with twice the content of the first. What’s here right out of the gate is astounding, and the thought of more coming on the way is a tantalizing treat."
