GOG resurrects the cult classic survival horror games, Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2, with DRM-free PC re-releases. Both PlayStation titles are now available on GOG's platform as part of their Preservation Program, retaining their original content.
Originally released in 1999 and 2000 respectively, these titles represent a significant piece of gaming history. While Dino Crisis 3 (an Xbox exclusive) was released in 2003, a new entry or an HD remake remains elusive despite fan demand. Capcom's focus on titles like Exoprimal and Monster Hunter, as indicated by statements from creator Shinji Mikami, seemingly closes the door on a Dino Crisis revival for the foreseeable future.
GOG's release is particularly welcome given the challenges of running these older games on modern systems. The company highlights the enhanced experience, stating that Regina's famous line, "You're extinct!", no longer applies to the games themselves.
