During "Into the Underworld," Katherine tasks you with finding Goatskin at the inn. While there are multiple ways to approach this, this guide offers a quicker method.
Goatskin is hiding in the barn next to the Black Horse tavern. To reach him, enter the barn behind the tailor's shop and climb the ladder. Remember, this is a private area, so stealth is key.
Once upstairs, drop down into the courtyard. From there, climb onto the carriage and use it to access another barn through a window. Make your way to the top level – Goatskin will be there. Important note: He only stays in this location during the day. He moves at night.
Before talking to Goatskin, it's highly recommended to save your game. You'll need to pass several dialogue checks to avoid paying a hefty sum to progress the quest. Failing these checks increases the cost significantly (from 150 to 500 Groschen!).
If you're not confident in your dialogue skills, 150 Groschen is the price to pay for a smooth progression. But failing the checks will cost you a much steeper 500 Groschen.
