None of us probably expected to hear this, but the world of Goat Simulator is expanding into a new realm: card games! The excitement is palpable as we eagerly anticipate how this game will unfold. It's slated to hit the stores later this year, and fans can hardly wait.
Coffee Stain North, the creative minds behind the original Goat Simulator, are joining forces with MOOD Publishing, the creators of successful titles like Deep Rock Galactic: The Board Game and Valheim: The Board Game, to bring us Goat Simulator: The Card Game.
What Else Do We Know About Goat Simulator: The Card Game?
While the developers have kept much under wraps, we do know that this card game will support 2-6 players engaging in a battle of goat-driven mayhem. It's set to encapsulate the absurdity that fans love about the franchise, all neatly packaged in a card game format.
Goat Simulator: The Card Game will be a physical card game, launching on Kickstarter later this year. If you've ever launched a goat into oblivion in the video game, you can probably envision the chaotic energy that this card game will bring to your table.
Santiago Ferrero, the Creative Director at Coffee Stain North, had a delightfully fitting comment on the upcoming game: “Chaotic animal-based video games are so last year. That’s why we’ve partnered with MOOD Publishing to release a chaotic animal-based card game instead! You’ve seen goats on your screen; now it’s time to bring them to your table.”
Who Knew Goat Simulation Would Become a Genre in Itself?
What began as an April Fool’s joke in 2014 has evolved into a cultural phenomenon. From PCs and consoles to the Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and Apple Arcade, Goat Simulator has managed to stay relevant through the years.
With Goat Simulator 3 continuing the absurd legacy of its predecessor, the addition of a card game to the series is a testament to its enduring appeal. Until then, you can explore the Goat Simulator games available on the Google Play Store.
