Sucker Punch Productions will showcase a Ghost of Yōtei gameplay deep dive during an upcoming State of Play presentation next month.
The developers confirmed they'll reveal more about the highly anticipated samurai sequel in a PlayStation Blog post following June 2025's State of Play. While Ghost of Yōtei made only a brief appearance at the end of today's presentation, it served as confirmation that Sucker Punch remains focused on hitting its October launch window.
Though Ghost of Yōtei's fleeting appearance may have left fans wanting more, the July State of Play promises substantial gameplay details to tide players over. Sucker Punch hasn't announced an exact date yet but confirms their showcase will exclusively highlight Ghost of Yōtei's "evolved mechanics spanning exploration, combat, and other key features."
Sucker Punch officially revealed Ghost of Tsushima's successor last September, introducing new protagonist Atsu embarking on a brutal journey through 1603 Japan. While details have been scarce since the original game's 2020 release, director Nate Fox assures the sequel will maintain the same culturally authentic representation of Japan.
