Microids is bringing back the classic action-adventure game, Little Big Adventure – Twinsen's Quest, a modernized remake of the 1994 title. Launching this autumn on all major platforms, this updated version retains the original's charm while boasting significant improvements. Developed by 2.21 and published by Microids, the game builds upon the legacy of Adeline Software International, the original developer now defunct.
This reimagining features a completely overhauled visual presentation and refined gameplay mechanics. Players will revisit the iconic world of Twinsun with enhanced level design, redesigned controls, and a revamped version of Twinsen's signature weapon. The immersive story, rich with thematic depth, is further enhanced by a new soundtrack composed by Philippe Vachey, the original game's composer, who also collaborated with Frederick Raynal (former Infogrames designer/lead programmer and creator of the original Little Big Adventure) on the Alone in the Dark series.
The game follows Twinsen's quest to liberate the inhabitants of Twinsun from the tyrannical rule of Dr. Funfrock, whose inventions of cloning and teleportation have plunged the planet into chaos. This adventure will challenge players with intricate puzzles and formidable enemies.
Following previous releases on GOG.com, PC, Mac, Android, and iOS, Little Big Adventure – Twinsen's Quest will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG) later this year. This revival, spearheaded by the team at 2.21 and announced via co-creator Didier Chanfray (also known for his work on Time Commando), promises a fresh yet faithful experience for both longtime fans and newcomers alike.
