Game of Thrones: Kingsroad – Closed Beta Launches January 15th!
Netmarble's upcoming Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, adapted from George R.R. Martin's books and the HBO series, is holding a closed beta starting January 15th. The beta, running until January 22nd, will be available in the US, Canada, and select European regions. Android users can apply now!
Unlike previous Game of Thrones mobile titles focusing on strategy, Kingsroad offers a third-person action-adventure experience. Players become the heir to House Tyre, embarking on a journey across Westeros, battling enemies, and building prestige.
The trailer showcases Witcher-esque gameplay, featuring third-person exploration and combat, with three character classes: Sellsword, Knight, and Assassin. While visually impressive, the ultimate test will be the full release.
Beta Registration Closes Soon!
Registration for the closed beta ends January 12th. While the game looks promising, it will undoubtedly face intense scrutiny from the dedicated Game of Thrones fanbase. Monetization and long-term support will be key factors in its success. However, if Netmarble delivers, it could satisfy the long-held desire for an immersive Game of Thrones mobile experience.
