This unprecedented expansion is due to the developers' decision to introduce the Fantastic Four as a unified group, a move that significantly increased the season's scope.
Expect a wealth of new content, including three new maps showcasing iconic New York City locations:
- Sanctum Sanctorum: Launching alongside Season 1, this map sets the stage for the new Doom Match game mode.
- Midtown: This map will be the backdrop for thrilling Convoy missions, demanding strategic combat through city streets.
- Central Park: Details on this map remain scarce, but more information is promised closer to the mid-season update.
The initial launch will feature Mister Fantastic (Duelist) and Invisible Woman (Strategist), with The Thing and Human Torch arriving in the mid-season update approximately six to seven weeks later.
