How To Get Flare Knife In Freedom Wars Remastered
The Flare Knife is surprisingly easy to obtain early in the game. Once you reach Level 003 Code Clearance, simply visit Zakka in The Warren. Zakka's shop stocks a variety of items, and the Flare Knife is available for purchase at 3,000 Entitlement Points.
Equipping the Flare Knife is straightforward. Navigate to the Loadout menu in the Personal Responsibility Portal and select an available Combat Item slot. Your Flare Knife will be listed there, ready to be equipped for battle.
How To Use Flare Knife In Freedom Wars Remastered
The Flare Knife is a reusable combat item specifically designed for severing Abductor parts. This makes it a valuable tool for players who prefer Polearms or Heavy Melee weapons, providing an alternative to Light Melee weapons for limb severing. However, remember it's a single-use item per Operation; you'll need to repurchase it for each subsequent mission.
To use it, lock onto a severable Abductor part and use your Thorn to grapple towards it. With the Flare Knife equipped, a severing option will appear. A quick-time event (QTE) will then initiate, requiring you to rapidly mash a designated button. Successfully depleting the QTE bar severs the limb. Be mindful, as the Abductor might interrupt you with attacks or environmental maneuvers.
Cooperative play offers a significant advantage. By working with teammates to repeatedly snare the Abductor, you can create easier severing opportunities.
