Fortnite Rumored to Crossover with Popular Anime Kaiju No. 8
Recent leaks suggest a potential crossover between the globally popular battle royale game, Fortnite, and the acclaimed anime series, Kaiju No. 8. Given Kaiju No. 8's current immense popularity, such a collaboration would be a logical and exciting move for Epic Games. Further fueling speculation, rumors also point to a possible Demon Slayer crossover arriving in Fortnite.
The news follows Fortnite's recent Winterfest event conclusion and the release of its first major 2025 update. This update introduced new cosmetics, gameplay adjustments (including the ability to use Fortnite Festival instruments as back blings and pickaxes), and a local co-op mode for Fortnite Festival. These additions have coincided with a surge of speculation regarding upcoming features and crossovers.
Prominent Fortnite leaker HYPEX ignited the Kaiju No. 8 speculation on Twitter. Kaiju No. 8, which started as a manga and received an anime adaptation in 2024 (with a second season slated for 2025), follows Kafka Hibino, a young man who gains kaiju-transforming abilities after an unusual encounter. His subsequent involvement with a monster-eliminating organization forms the core of the compelling narrative. A Kaiju No. 8 crossover would place it alongside other successful anime collaborations in Fortnite, such as Dragon Ball Z.
More Than Just Kaiju No. 8?
Beyond the Kaiju No. 8 rumors, multiple leakers suggest a potential Demon Slayer crossover is also in the works. While details remain scarce regarding the specifics of both anime collaborations, many fans anticipate new cosmetics in the Item Shop, with some hoping for in-game map representation of characters from both franchises.
Additional leaks hint at the arrival of more MonsterVerse characters to join Godzilla (available via the Chapter 6 Season 1 battle pass starting January 17th). King Kong and Mechagodzilla cosmetics are reportedly among those anticipated. With a wealth of new content on the horizon, the Fortnite community eagerly awaits Epic Games' next moves throughout 2025.
