I own three standing desks, one of which came with a desktop. For the others, I sourced my own surfaces. I used a 74"x26" maple veneered countertop from Ikea for $199 on one, and a 48"x25" solid wood countertop from Home Depot that I finished myself on the other. There's no wrong choice here, and many options are available. Remember, you can use any desktop as long as it's within the weight limits of the base.
