The latest *Fields of Mistria* update introduces exciting new activities, including the charming Animal Festival! This annual event is not only fun but also a fantastic opportunity to showcase your farm animals. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to participate and win big.
Like other seasonal events, the Animal Festival takes place annually in *Fields of Mistria*. Don't worry if you miss it one year; you'll have another chance the following year. The festival begins on the 10th day of Winter, giving you plenty of time to prepare your animals.
Winning the Animal Festival
The main event is a contest where you can enter up to two animals: one small (chickens, ducks, rabbits, etc.) and one large (cows, alpacas, sheep, etc.). Remember, your animals must be fully grown adults to participate.
Entering the Contest
- Go to the festival grounds in the town center and speak to Josephine at the registration counter.
- She'll direct you to the booths behind her to register your animals.
- Josephine offers valuable tips: a higher animal heart count leads to a better score (increase hearts by petting, feeding, and letting them outside on sunny days). Rare coat colors also boost your score.
- Talk to Terithia (left booth) to register large animals and Landen (right booth) for small animals.
- Once you've registered your animals, return to Josephine and select "Start the Judging."
Animal Festival Prizes
A cutscene will announce the winners for both small and large animal categories. Winning first place against Hayden's Henrietta (chicken) and Sunshine (cow) will earn you top prizes. The prizes awarded depend on your placement. Winning during your first year may be challenging, requiring significant time investment in animal care and farm upgrades to unlock rare animals and coat colors.
