Unravel the mystery of your father's disappearance in "My Father Lied," a captivating point-and-click adventure game launching May 30th!
Ahmed Alameen, a writer and filmmaker, presents his debut title: a narrative-driven puzzle game inspired by Mesopotamian history. Step into the shoes of Huda, a young woman who embarks on a quest to uncover the truth behind her father's vanishing twenty years prior, a mystery deepened by the recent revelation of an unknown sibling.
Alameen, initially collaborating on the project, took the reins after a team split, mastering game design to bring his vision to life. The game features classic point-and-click mechanics, challenging players to piece together images, decipher codes, and explore richly detailed environments. He cites influences from games like Myst and Heaven's Vault, as well as the chilling works of H.P. Lovecraft.
Employing a blend of 2D and 360-degree imagery, even in the meticulously crafted cutscenes, Alameen achieved stunning visuals optimized for performance on less powerful PCs.
"My Father Lied" will be available on May 30th for $10.99/€ on the App Store, Google Play, and Steam. Add it to your Steam wishlist now! Mobile pre-registration is not yet available. Follow Lunar Games on X, Discord, TikTok, and Instagram for updates, and watch for the upcoming Kickstarter campaign.
