KEMCO's latest tactical RPG, Eldgear, plunges players into the magical world of Argenia. This turn-based battle game features ancient technology, compelling mysteries, and epic-scale conflicts.
The Eldgear Story:
Argenia, transitioning from a medieval to a magical age, finds itself embroiled in conflict. Numerous nations vie for control of powerful ancient technology unearthed from mysterious ruins. Following a devastating war, a fragile peace prevails, constantly threatened by the potential resurgence of hostilities.
Eldia, a global task force, plays a central role. Their mission: to prevent the ancient weapons and machines from igniting another catastrophic war. They meticulously research, monitor, and control access to these dangerous relics.
Gameplay Mechanics:
Eldgear boasts a strategic turn-based combat system. The core mechanics, however, add a layer of complexity.
- EMA (Embedding Abilities): Equip three abilities per unit, usable at any time. These range from stat boosts to tactical options like Stealth and bodyguard functions.
- EXA (Expanding Abilities): Unleash devastating special attacks by maximizing Tension during battles.
- GEAR Machines: These enigmatic machines vary in nature, some acting as guardians, others as formidable foes.
Is Eldgear Worth Playing?
Available now on the Google Play Store for $7.99, Eldgear offers support for both English and Japanese languages. Currently, controller support is absent, requiring touchscreen controls. Consider this title alongside other recent releases, such as Pocket Necromancer.
