Epic Games Store Mobile Gets a Massive Upgrade: Free Games and More!
The Epic Games Store mobile app is undergoing a significant transformation. This update brings nearly 20 new third-party game releases and, most notably, the introduction of their popular free games program to Android globally and iOS within the European Union.
This month's free game is Dungeon of the Endless: Apogee, available until February 20th, followed by Bloons TD6. The expansion includes a broader selection of third-party titles, significantly enhancing the app's game library.
A key feature of this upgrade is improved cross-platform functionality. Users can now seamlessly access their Epic accounts and game progress across both Android and iOS devices. An automatic update feature ensures game libraries remain current.
Epic's Mobile Strategy
Epic Games' commitment to its mobile storefront is evident. While facing competition from established platforms like Steam on PC, the introduction of free games is a strong incentive for mobile gamers. Their developer-friendly revenue-sharing model remains a key differentiator in their ongoing dispute with Apple.
