The latest Star Wars Celebration unveiled exciting details about the upcoming Mandalorian and Grogu-themed expansion for Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run. Besides the addition of engineer interactions with Grogu, the update will introduce Coruscant as a new destination alongside fan-favorite planets like Tatooine, Bespin and Endor in this interactive story experience.
New Adventures With The Mandalorian Duo
Scheduled to launch on May 22, 2026, this update crafts a fresh narrative separate from the upcoming Mandalorian & Grogu film, though still featuring Din Djarin and his tiny companion. The interactive journey follows Hondo Ohnaka as he discovers a secret deal between former Imperial officers and pirates on Tatooine, triggering a galaxy-wide chase where guests will partner with Mando and Grogu to claim a valuable bounty.

Enhanced Engineer Gameplay
This update significantly expands the engineer's role by putting them in charge of Grogu's wellbeing. During missions, engineers will experience unique interactions with the beloved character. Imagineering's Asa Kalama revealed: "We're giving engineers opportunities to communicate with Grogu. There might be moments when Mando leaves and Grogu gets... enthusiastic with the controls, creating these fun little moments where you're basically babysitting via comms."
Branching Story Paths
The choose-your-own-adventure format reaches new heights with critical decision points. Kalama explained: "There's a pivotal moment where time pressure forces you to quickly choose which bounty to pursue. This decision determines subsequent destinations and missions, making each playthrough feel fresh."
