FromSoftware's latest project, *Elden Ring: Nightreign*, is set to excite fans, but with a twist: early access testing will be exclusive to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S owners. Registration for this eagerly awaited test opens on January 10, with the actual testing scheduled for February. This decision leaves a significant portion of the fanbase, particularly PC gamers, without the chance to experience the game early.
Bandai Namco has not disclosed why PC users are being excluded from the initial testing phase. However, those fortunate enough to own the specified consoles will have the privilege of being among the first to dive into *Elden Ring: Nightreign* before its official release.
*Elden Ring: Nightreign* continues the narrative from the original game, introducing players to new, chilling experiences within a sinister setting. While console gamers get a head start with the testing phase, PC users are encouraged to stay tuned for any announcements regarding potential future testing opportunities.
In a notable change for *Elden Ring: Nightreign*, the traditional "leave a message" feature, a staple in FromSoftware games, will be absent. Project director Junya Ishizaki justified this decision in an interview, stating, "We disabled the messaging feature because there isn't enough time for sending or reading messages during sessions, which last approximately forty minutes." This adjustment aims to streamline the gaming experience, given the relatively short duration of each session.
