New Story Trailer and Worldwide Beta Weekend Revealed
Dune: Awakening is preparing for launch with its largest beta test yet. Funcom announced on April 25 via their official channels that players worldwide can participate in this special weekend event. Alongside this news, they unveiled a brand-new trailer showcasing cinematic sequences and narrative elements from the game.
Unlike previous closed beta tests, this event will have no NDA restrictions, allowing participants to freely share their gameplay experiences through streaming and social media. According to the announcement, "Players will experience the first 20 hours of gameplay, including most of Act 1's storyline, giving them a complete taste of Dune: Awakening's universe."
Beta access can be obtained by wishlisting the game on Steam or by receiving special access codes during the global reveal broadcast on May 10. Additional details about the testing period will be announced shortly.
Worldwide LAN Party Celebration on May 10
Funcom will host a special global LAN party celebration simultaneously from London and PAX East on May 10. The event begins at 12 PM PDT (3 PM EDT / 9 PM CEST / 8 PM BST) and will be streamed live on their official Twitch channel. Regional broadcast times are as follows:
